Except for the nature trails, Fallison, Trout Lake, Star Lake and Raven's yellow loop, biking is allowed on all roads and trails. This amounts to hundreds of miles of biking opportunities.
The Northern Highland American Legion State Forest is located in Vilas, Oneida and Iron counties, in heart of the Northwoods near the cities of Woodruff and Minoqua. It is approximately four hours northeast of Minneapolis and four hours north of Madison.
